The Annual University Community Association Ice Cream Social! This summer tradition brings everyone in the University District neighborhoods together for fun and ice cream. Everyone welcome!

The evening program gives the Pavey Award to a member of the University Community that has dedicated time and effort to bettering the University District's quality of life. It also awards the Oscar Award to a City of Columbus staff member who goes above and beyond in their duties to assist the University District community.

The ice cream social will move indoors at the Tuttle Park Recreation Center if there is inclement weather.

Join the University Community Association for an evening of food, music and community-building as we celebrate everything that makes the University District great. 

This year's fundraiser will feature music from The Olde Brigade - Mogan, Hankins & McCain, Lauren Lever and the Live Oaks and Jen Miller. There will also be gift bags with treats and offers from neighborhood businesses, as well as a silent auction featuring an eclectic assortment of must-have items. 

Heavy hors d'oeuvres and desert will be provided, with drinks available from Rambling House.

Tickets available at the door (cash or check, please), for a suggested donation of $20 per person, $10 for students/seniors.

The University Community Association is the oldest civic organization in the University District and one of the oldest in the City of Columbus. We build pride in the University District by bringing together students, renters, homeowners, businesses, and other stakeholders to celebrate and improve our area.
 

A University District tradition! The Winter Celebration is hosted in partnership with the University District Organization, University Community Business Association, University Area Commission, University District Special Improvement District, and the University Community Association. It provides a time of reflection on the year’s accomplishments and a glimpse of what is to come! Enjoy the season with your University District neighbors, businesses, and community partners. Hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be provided.

Parking is available on-street or at the Gateway Garage. Non-perishable food items and donations will be collected for Neighborhood Services, Inc. which serves University District families and individuals in need.

Featuring: Convergence of the Blocks
"Your dream is my memory," by Rory Krupp - a tactical art piece commissioned for the University District Arts & Character Plan. The art piece will be assembled and revealed during this year's Winter Celebration. A community-engaged project, the work will bring together one hundred University District participants to form a completed wood block mosaic.
