It’s a Block Party Celebrating Creativity and Community
We are excited to announce an upcoming and new event this fall: The Pearl Jam. This exciting upcoming block party is set to take place in the heart of the University District between 15th and 16th on Pearl Alley adjacent to University Square on October 7th and 8th.
This festival aims to transform the iconic Pearl Alley into a vibrant hub of art, music, and community engagement.
For those who are a visual or performing artist apply now to be one of our Trash 2 Treasure muralists or play a set on the University Square Stage.
Good Times Await
At The Pearl Jam discover and enjoy local artists, musicians & vendors.
Live Art:
Local artists will be showcasing their skills by painting murals on trash dumpsters as part of the Trash 2 Treasure initiative. These artistic dumpsters will add a unique touch to the already existing 11 murals found along Pearl Alley.

Performing Artist Spotlight:
The University Square stage will feature a lineup of talented local musicians, providing a steady stream of live music throughout the event.

Vintage Treasures:
For those seeking unique finds, SoHud Collective will be there along with other local vendors offering a selection of vintage clothing and wares.
Culinary Delights:
Satisfy your taste buds by grabbing a bite to eat from the nearby restaurants or food trucks that will be present at the event. Additionally, you can also enjoy a refreshing beverage from a local brewery.
Go Bucks:
It’s Homecoming and we will definitely be cheering the Buckeyes on as they play (beat) Maryland!
Community Spirit & Celebrating Hidden Creativity
The idea for the Pearl Jam block party emerged from the University District Organization’s community surveys and conversations with individuals in the area. It became evident that the district possesses an undercurrent of hidden creativity that often goes unnoticed by the wider Columbus community.
Against the backdrop of Ohio State University, there exists a thriving neighborhood culture of creativity, waiting to be discovered. The Pearl Jam aims to showcase and celebrate this unique intersection of creativity and community by bringing it to the forefront and welcoming everyone to experience it.
