Take the University District Parking Plan Survey - Last Call!

In recent years, the University District has grown in population. Parking pressures have risen along with it. In response to this trend, the City of Columbus has been working with the community and relevant stakeholders to develop a Strategic Parking Plan for the University District as well as some other neighborhoods in the City.

Last year, the City collected public feedback on their proposal and adapted it accordingly. Here are some of the changes made to the original draft plan:

  • 5 permit parking zones are much smaller than originally planned.

  • No difference between residents and students for permit eligibility.

  • All permits are virtual, and license plates will be scanned to identify offenders.

  • Paid parking zones will use “progressive pricing”, which increases in price the longer you park there.

The City wants to give community members one last chance to provide their input before the plan is implemented this summer. Please take the survey below and make sure your voice is heard!

It will be open until noon on February 5th.
