Welcoming Students Back to the Univeristy District

The University District has come back to life with the return of students for the Autumn 2020 semester - albiet in different fashion due to the on-going pandemic. Extra safety precautions are in place to create a safe living and learning environment both on and off-campus.

Before students returned, the University Community Business Association hosted focus group sessions with business owners, bars, restaurants, and landlords to discuss ways to reduce the spread of Covid-19 off campus.

As a result of these meetings, an initiative was created to promote OSU’s social distance and safety messaging off-campus. The goal is that unity in messaging between on-campus and off-campus will help strengthen the reach of this information as well as decrease any potential for misunderstanding on expectations or best practice regarding safety.

The Ohio State University is providing a package of printable / printed sign materials for off-campus use, free of charge. The University Community Business Association and the University District Special Improvement District will be helping to distribute the packages.

Please contact info@universitydistrict.org to request a sign package.
