University District Census Outreach

The University District Organization (UDO) is helping to bring awareness to the upcoming 2020 Census. It will be collaborating with area civic groups, area landlords, and student organizations to reach our traditionally hard-to-count (HTC) populations.

Community participation in the census is crucial for the proper allocation of federal funding, disaster relief, and the election process. With a new online option for answering the census questionaire, it has never been easier to be counted.

To complete the census, simply go to my2020census.gov on or before April 1st and input the unique 12 digit Census ID you should have received in the mail. Answer based on where you would normally be living most of the time were it not for COVID-19. For example, students should still be counted as at school, and not on their parent’s census. Be sure to remind your friends and followers on social media to take the 2020 Census using #shapeyourfuture.
