New "Trash to Treasure" Murals!
The murals are finally finished! Full of color and vibrant personality, the dumpsters have been transformed. Walk, bike, or drive through the alley between Lane and Norwich Avenue to experience these firsthand!
A collaborative effort, we owe the success of this project to artists, business partners, community members, and student volunteers who helped pick up litter and primed dumpsters with a base coat of paint on OSU Pay It Forward weekend! Specifically, a big thanks to the property owners: KRG, Hometeam, NorthSteppe, Pella, and Inn Town—as well as our selected artists whose vision and hard work turned these dumpsters from “trash to treasure.” If you enjoy these, show some love to the artists below:
Bryant B1 Anthony (@bee1ne_)
Khalia Carr & Tyler Davis (@jellowfever)
Lisa Celeste (@lisaceleste)
Adam Hernandes (@ahernandezart)
Lance Johnson (@lanceljart)
Stephanie Rond (@stephanierond)
Alex N. Stroup (@60phade)
If you’d like to get involved, keep an eye out for upcoming opportunities. All artists were chosen based on their concept submissions, and we’d love to see your submissions for future projects. Lastly, be sure to tag us on Instagram (@universitydistrict) if you take any great shots of or with these murals!
