Project Details ‘Short Literary Pieces’
The intent of the ‘Short Literary Pieces’ is to commission several writers and poets and other literary focused individuals to create two short pieces. Writings will be displayed throughout the neighborhood in sidewalk or wall art, performed during events or in other creative artistic installations.

Sam Zafris
Sam was the recipient of the Inaugural R.L. Stine Scholarship for Creative Writing at Ohio State and has completed an undergraduate creative writing thesis in poetry with Professor Andrew Hudgins. Authored work: Two short stories.
Jessi Jones
I currently design, write and edit the Cyrillic Manuscript Heritage- the biennial newsletter for the Resource Center for Medieval Slavic Studies at the Ohio State University. I am a writer in my free time, and maintain a personal blog of poems and short stories. Authored work: Poetry.
Gabrielle Lasky
In 2015 Gabrielle was shortlisted for the Amnesty International Freedom of Speech Award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for her musical about bipolar disorder, "My Mania"; In 2012 - Best New Playwright in SWFL for my one-act, "The Unseen Character". Authored work: One-act plays.
Chiquita Mullins Lee
She grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, and lives in Columbus, Ohio, where she works as Arts Learning Programs Coordinator for the Ohio Arts Council. Previously, she was Ohio's Poetry Out Loud project coordinator, as well as a teaching artist for the Ohio Arts Council’s Artist-in-Residence program. Authored work: Poetry
Nancy Kangas
My poetry has been published in print and online publications including Cap City Poets and Exquisite Corpse. I write a poetry column for Ohio Edit, “Slides (Interpreted by Nancy),” and a monthly humor feature for the children’s magazine, Muse. Authored work: Poetry and word game.
