the circles
Tucked just west of Neil Avenue, The Circles are named after their four adorable circle pocket parks in each intersection. Although not a historic district, many of these homes were built before the 1900’s in the victorian era. If you like architecture, take a stroll here.
about
the circles
Platted in 1888 by Ann (Neil) Dennison, who studied with Frederick Law Olmstead of New York's Central Park fame, The Circles reflect the 19th-century "romantic planning" philosophy popular at the turn of the century.
During the area's renaissance, a small cluster of substantial housing was moved into a charming courtyard setting near Battelle. Public transportation makes the neighborhood very accessible. Memorial Park is designed to commemorate the pioneers of the rejuvenation of the community.
