The SoHud, or South of Hudson, neighborhood is the newest addition to the University District’s community fabric. Roughly bound by Hudson Avenue, the Iuka Ravine neighborhood to the south, Indianola Avenue and the railroad tracks, the neighborhood developed at the turn of the century with an eclectic mix of housing types. SoHud has an active community network formed initially by an extensive blockwatch. It is also home to the April Fools Parade and Festival of Hilaria which allows anyone to let loose, be goofy, and have fun with their neighbors!
