Get to know our Special Improvement District Stewards

In August, UDSID started a new contract with Block by Block for our safe and clean program. Meet our dedicated stewards taking care of the University District. First up, we are introducing our operations manager.

OPERATIONS MANAGER: SERGIO ALLEN

Sergio is the glue of our Safe & Clean Team. He started in September 2021 and quickly displayed incredible initiative and leadership. By December 2021 he was promoted as Operations Manager leading our new team of Stewards. With a background in security, team management, and coaching, Sergio is uniquely qualified for this role.  Previously, he worked as a corrections officer for the Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office and then became a supervisor for the Amazon Data Protection Center in Dublin, Oh. Sergio is dedicated to the University District. He enjoys the energy that comes from the campus environment and making it a welcoming space for all.

“I love keeping our district safe & clean. We work in a very busy area & things can get pretty messy, so I really take pride in make sure our district is the best that it can be for our stakeholders & students.”

When Sergio isn’t serving the University District, he works as a certified personal trainer & nutritionist, loves to cook, travel, and most importantly spend time with his 2 kids, his wife, and his Pomeranian puppy.
