University District Plan sent to City Council for Approval

The University Area Commission recommended approval of the University District Plan at their December 17, 2014 meeting. The Plan represents over a year's worth of public input and planning orchestrated by the City of Columbus Division of Planning. Represented during the planning process and on the Working Committee were several civic groups, residents, business owners, the University District Organization, the University Community Business Association, the University Area Commission, and the University Community Association.

The Plan will help guide development development throughout the University District while protecting the character of neighborhoods within it. The latest draft of the plan can be viewed on the City of Columbus' website. It will be sent to City Council for approval in the upcoming months. Please check the UDO and UAC Facebook pages for announcement dates on public consideration of the Plan at City Council.
